This study aims to describe the conditions of learning history and historical awareness of students in the material for the National Muhammadiyah Organization Movement at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative with data collection through interview guides, observation sheets, and documentation recording forms. The main sources of this research were class XI students and history teachers at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The findings of this study resulted in the conclusion that learning History at MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru has been going quite well. This can be seen from the spirit of nationalism and the spirit of patriotism possessed by class XI IPS MA Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru and also from the 4 indicators of historical awareness in the form of Knowledge of Historical Events, Understanding of Historical Research Methods, Meaning of Historical Events and Uses of History. From these indicators, it is the indicator of understanding historical research methods that most students do not understand. Apart from that, the historical awareness of class XI IPS students can also be seen from their participation in IPM, Tapak Suci, and Hizbul WathanReferences
