Pemahaman mahasiswa tentang struktur dan sifat virus: Telaah awal pada mahasiswa calon guru

Abstract


Penelitian bertujuan untuk menelaah pemahaman mahasiswa calon tentang konsep struktur dan sifat virus. Penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik survey dilakukan pada mahasiswa calon guru di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Mahasiswa yang terlibat berjumlah 48 orang dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli biologi dan ahli pendidikan yang selanjutnya dimasukkan dalam google formulir dan dikirimkan melalui grup WA. Data respon mahasiswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan presentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru pada indicator menganalisis sifat virus sebesar 58,8 %, menunjukkan struktur virus sebesar 37,5, mengidentifikasi 68,8 % dan menganalisis stuktur virus sebesar 77,1. Rata-rata pemahaman mahasiswa calon guru tentang materi virus sebesar 60,53 % (kategori rendah) sehingga perlu adanya kajian kurikulum tentang materi virus.
