Term أولياء dalam Al-Qur’an: Analisis Karya Tafsir di Indonesia Abad ke- 17, 18, dan 19 M

Abstract


The term Auliya’ has become a very exciting debate, almost exceeding the limit regarding the meaning of verse 51 of Surah al-Maidah which is associated with the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election. Departing from the problem of the meaning of the term Auliya’, through different social conditions, many interpretations were born with various meanings in interpreting the term Auliya’, namely from the 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Auliya’ with the background formulated several problems. First, what is the definition of the term Auliya’? Second, how is the view of the Koran on the term Auliya’ in the Indonesian commentary book of the 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries? This research is a qualitative research library research type or library research using thematic methods. The object under study is the interpretation of the 17th, 19th, and 20th century commentators. The data collection technique used is observation and documentation. The results of this study are in the view of the Koran on the term Auliya’ in the 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries AD Indonesian commentaries, researchers analyzed from ten commentators who had various views on the QS. Ali-Imran verses 28, and 175, An-Nisa’'verse 89, Al-Maidah verses 51, 57, and 81. Whereas the meaning of the term Auliya’ means, to develop, guardian, side by side, be compassionate, take sides, leader, Abu Sufyan and friend’s, comrades, leaders, help, affection, friends, followers, friends, figures, protectors, supporters, defenders, and love. Even so, specifically the commentators did not mention the condition of the term Auliya’ in the context of being Indonesian in their interpretation. Finally, with the results of this article, several recommendations were obtained, one of which was for the Indonesian Muslim to have a wider understanding of the term Auliya’ so that they would not misunderstand the term Auliya
